The Blues won the final 2-0 against Tottenham thanks to a John Terry goal and a Kyle Walker OG. However, the Portuguese saw fit to congratulate the players who didn’t take part in his post match comments.

The former Real Madrid man said: “My players were fantastic. Finals are not for playing they are for winning. We did not have problems. They had a couple of chances but nothing else. We knew we would be dangerous on the counter and we played like we should play a final.”

He added: “”You are never too old to celebrate, you don’t have enough trophies not to celebrate. For me this is 24 but I am like a kid with the first one. Man of the match? They are Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis, who played fantastic against Liverpool. Man of the match was Andreas Christensen who played well against Shrewsbury.”

This is the first trophy of the 53-year-old’s second stint at the London club, and his first in all football since 2012. The victory has made some believe that the Stamford Bridge outfit are capable of a historic treble this season. The team is five points and a game in hand clear at the top of the Premier League, as well as being in the last 16 of the Champions League.
