The Premier League leaders are looking to make the first silverware of the seasons theirs, with Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side standing between them and a trophy.

Mourinho is currently experiencing the longest trophy drought of his career, and hasn’t won anything in nearly three years.

The Blues boss claims this is the most important game of his career, because it’s the next game and the only one that matters.

“This cup final is the most important cup final of my career,” said Mourinho.

“More important than the Champions League. More important than the other cups I’ve played before.

“Do I look stupid? It’s because it’s the next one. The next one. I just think about this game. We have a final to win on Sunday and nothing else matters.

“I don’t care about medals. I care about the club winning trophies and me and the players winning trophies.”

Chelsea will be without Nemanja Matic for the crunch match, with the giant Serbian suspended for two games. They have struggled without him this season, and may do so again.

Tottenham ran out shock 5-3 winners last time these two met, and Pochettino will be hoping for a repeat performance -from Harry Kane in particular.
