The Australian is a key part of the Eagles’ midfield and will be a massive miss for any games in which he is suspended. He faces four matches on the sidelines as referee Mike Dean has claimed that he did not see the incident on Saturday, and, having already received a red card earlier in the season, he is in line for an extended suspension.

The FA have confirmed that they are looking in to the matter, and it is likely that they will come to a decision before the South London side’s match against QPR in just under two weeks time. He could potentially miss that game as well as Stoke City away, Manchester City home, and Sunderland away.
