The punishment was handed out retrospectively by the FA on Tuesday after he admitted to the charge of violent conduct.

The regular punishment for violent conduct is a normal three-match ban, but because of his red against Sunderland in November meant that his term was extended to four games.

Jedinak has accepted the decision, and the club released a statement on their website which read:

“Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has accepted the violent conduct charge from the Football Association handed to him yesterday.

“The charge stems from an incident with West Ham United midfielder Diafra Sakho in the 87th minute of Palace’s 3-1 win over the Hammers on Saturday.”
