Manchester United transfer news
Reports in the Daily Star believe that the Old Trafford side are set to renew their interest in the 26-year-old, who has been with Dortmund since joining from Bayern Munich in 2009. He was the subject of a high percentage of transfer rumours last summer, but nothing ever came of them.
According to the source, United have even received a surprise recommendation from a former Manchester City defender, Stefan Savic. The Montenegrin international is currently starring for Italian giants Fiorentina, but has supposedly been targeted by Dortmund as a potential replacement for Hummels.
The World Cup winner is valued at around £30m, but United are hoping that they’ll be able to take advantage of Dortmund’s poor domestic season to poach him for a lower price. Savic is desperate to move to Germany, but knows the move will only happen if Hummels leaves.
