There are three Argentinians; Nahuel Guzman, Damian Alvarez and Guido Pizarro, the Uruguayan Egidio Arevalo, the Colombian Hernan Burbano, the Ecuadorian Joffre Guerron and the Brazilian Rafael Sobis.

Tigres and San Jose share the lead of Group 6 with three points after one game, while River Plate and the Peruvians Juan Aurich are stuck on zero.

Damian Alvarez, now a Mexican citizen, played for River Plate twice, firstly from 1997 to 2000, and then again in 2002.
