Boca Juniors striker Gigliotti has signed a six month loan deal with the newly promoted Chongqing Lifan, with the Chinese team also having an option to purchase him for $4.5 million USD at any point.

Prior to the deal, the striker repeatedly told the Argentine media that his move to China was not agreed and that he wanted to stay at Boca – adding that the arrival of rival forward Daniel Osvaldo would not change his mind.
However, Gigliotti ended up signing with Chongqing Lifan after all, and was officially unveiled today.
