The 23 year old has struggled with form an fitness this term, making just seven Premier League starts thus far, and seemingly the England man is the latest Gunners star to interest the Etihad Stadium outfit.
Man City have of course conducted a number of Emirates Stadium raids in recent seasons, with the likes of Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna making moves in that direction, though a move for Wilshere would be a surprise transfer to say the least.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are keen to increase their ‘homegrown’ quota and the Chilean is keen on Wilshere whilst Liverpool are also said to be keeping tabs on the Arsenal star.
It would be fair to say that Wilshere, now in his seventh season in the Arsenal first team set-up, is yet to fully deliver on his obvious potential but that said it would be highly unlikely that Arsene Wenger would consider offers for the £25m rated fan favourite.
