The 27 year old Spanish international seems keen to leave the Nou Camp having become something of a peripheral figure at the club, starting less than half the club’s La Liga fixtures this term, and this source believes the versatile forward would set Arsenal back around £26m.

Inter Milan are also interested but Pedro is said to favour a move to the Premier League and one imagines the presence of former team-mate Alexis Sanchez, who has proven a massive success in England, may aid Arsene Wenger’s push to bring the Barcelona star to the Emirates Stadium.

Pedro, who can play out wide or in a central striking role, is a hugely experienced campaigner though is perhaps not held in as high a regard as the Tenerife born man would hope.

Now into his eighth season in the Barcelona first team set-up, Pedro has racked up 97 goals in 303 appearances for the La Liga side, playing his part in securing no less than four domestic titles and two Champions League triumphs (among a host of honours).
