The capital club temporarily returned to the top of the Ligue 1 table after the convincing win over the Northern club, only to drop back down to second place following Olympique Lyonnais’ win against Montpellier on Sunday.

Beyond the three points, coach Laurent Blanc will have been relieved to have seen Motta return to the starting line-up and play 72 minutes of the match.

As revealed by L’Equipe on Monday, the international midfielder felt no discomfort in his troublesome calf on Sunday morning following his exertions on Saturday and should be available to take on Chelsea in the Champions League this week.

Lucas Moura, however, remains absent.
