Arsenal may have been handed a huge boost in their bid to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira this summer after the player’s agent confirmed he is not necessarily joining Schalke.

According to the Metro, Khedira is still keeping his options open despite previous reports that a move to the Bundesliga side was already in place for next season.
The German international would be an ideal midfield signing for the Gunners, who have looked short in that position in some time as a number of other big-name targets have also been linked with the club.
Other reports claim Morgan Schneiderlin is on his way to the Emirates Stadium from Southampton, but Khedira may now be the priority as he would be available for free this summer.
