Arsenal are one of three clubs to have opened discussions with the agent of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira ahead of the summer transfer window, according to AS.

The German international is looking more and more likely to run down his contract at the Bernabeu and leave the club on a free transfer at the end of this season.
Arsenal are long-time admirers, but could be joined in the race for his signature by Bundesliga duo Schalke and Borussia Dortmund, who could also both do with strengthening in defensive midfield.
Khedira was part of Germany’s World Cup-winning squad last summer and also played a part in Real Madrid’s win in the Champions League in 2013/14.
