Algeria international Boudebouz – the side’s star man during their victory over OGC Nice last weekend – has an adductor problem and will be absent for the match. The loss of the talented playmaker comes as a major blow for the Corsicans, for whom he has been a chief creative influence as the season has worn on.

Former Arsenal and France defender Squillaci also represents a potentially-costly absentee. The defender has hamstring troubles and has also been ruled out of the match on Friday evening.

Club captain and talisman Cahuzac will also be out, again due to an adductor problem, according to France Football.

Both Bastia and Monaco have improved dramatically after poor starts to the season. The islanders sit in tenth place on 36 points, while Monaco are up in fourth with 47 points.
