Reports in the Daily Mirror have confirmed that this latest development is likely to inspire further interest from both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who would be willing to meet the England international’s growing wage demands.

The youngster, who has scored ten goals in all competitions so far this season, is currently on around £35,000-per-week, and wants to treble that with his next big deal. However, the Reds are only prepared to offer around £100k.

With little progress having been made over recent weeks, Sterling has now revealed that he will make a decision at the end of the current campaign, after discovering whether or not the Reds will secure a second successive season of Champions League football.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers described the club’s last offer as an “incredible deal”. However, the player that he considers the best young star on the planet is determined to keep his options open.
