Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger issues rallying cry ahead of AS Monaco tie

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has urged his side to believe, as the Gunners head to Monaco on a mission impossible in their attempts to recover a 3-1 deficit and qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals.

After a fifth successive league victory at home to West Ham, Wenger takes his team to France full of confidence as they aim to make history and become the first side to recover such a lead away from home.

The predicament mirrors that of the 12/13 season as Arsenal headed to Bayern Munich looking for the same scoreline and came tantilisingly close, winning 2-0 on the night and going out via the away goals rule.

Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain remains the only major absentee in Arsenal’s forward line and with Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez all firing, Wenger will certainly hope to make it a night to remember.
