Everton target Chelsea striker as Toffees consider cashing in on £28m forward

Roberto Martinez’s side have struggled for form this season.

By all accounts Everton are considering the possibility of cashing-in on record signing Romelu Lukaku and should they do so the Daily Mail claims that Chelsea forward Loic Remy is being eyed as a possible replacement.

Whilst it would be churlish to brand Belgian Lukaku a flop, the 21 year old has scored 16 goals in all competitions this term, it’s fair to say that Roberto Martinez may have hoped for more from his £28m signing.

Remy has barely had a look-in since his move to Stamford Bridge last summer, but then the former Newcastle United and QPR man was always going to be playing second fiddle to Diego Costa, and the French international may well be considering his options having made just five Premier League starts.
