Old Trafford side set to do business with Real Madrid.

Man United are apparently ready to allow David de Gea to move back to his hometown just so long as Real Madrid are willing to sell them Gareth Bale as part any deal according to the Metro.

The 24 year old custodian has regularly been linked with a move to the La Liga side, with the Spanish giants looking to de Gea as a long term replacement for Iker Casillas, and now Louis van Gaal is open to a swap deal of sorts.

Welsh winger Gareth Bale has become something of a whipping boy at the Bernabeu, with a section of the club’s supporters regularly booing the attacker, and that may well lead to the former Tottenham man being open to a Premier League return.

Bale had a superb debut season at Real Madrid, following his world record £86m move to the club, netting 22 goals in all competitions including crucial efforts in both the Champions League and Copa del Rey finals.

Whilst it’s fair to say he hasn’t hit the same heights this term it’s still hard to fathom the treatment he’s received of late.

David de Gea has been perhaps Man United’s most consistent performer this term but the capture of Victor Valdes, the former Barcelona man moving to Old Trafford on a free transfer in January, may be evidence of the possibility that the club may be preparing for life without the former Atletico Madrid man.
