The 26-year-old is unlikely to be offered an new deal when his contract at Manchester City comes to an end in the summer and has been linked with potential moves to Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and Everton, but the 13 capped England international has made it clear he was regular first team football at his next destination:

“It’s difficult to say [where I will play] at the moment.” Richards told TalkSport (via The Express)

“Everyone wants to play in the Premier League, it’s still the best league in the world and the most entertaining.”

“I just want to go somewhere where I’m going to play the most.” he said.

“Every footballer can go to a bigger club on a free contract but for me, I’m still only 26 and I just want to play every game, that’s what’s important.”

Richards is currently on a season long loan at the Serie A side and was part of the side which knocked Tottenham out of the Europa League last month, and he admits could stay in Italy, with including the possibility of reuniting with his former boss at the Etihad Stadium:

“I’ve been linked with Inter Milan with my old manager Roberto Mancini, so I have a few options.” he added.
