GK – Marc-Andre ter Stegen

The young German was unfortunate not to leave the Etihad Stadium with a clean-sheet, as he puts in a claim for the no.1 spot.

RB – Dani Alves

The right-back was fuming after being substituted in the first-leg, throwing a tantrum as he left the pitch, but the Brazilian remains pivotal for his side going forward.

RCB – Gerard Pique

The Spaniard’s experience, and reading of the game, is vital in the back-line.

LCB – Marc Bartra

The 24-year-old has been a bit-part player for Barca, however continues to impress when called upon, and is likely to replace Mascherano, who was disappointing in the first-leg, alongside Pique.

LB – Jordi Alba

Like Alves, the left-back is a huge attacking threat, with his pace a nightmare for the opposition.
