It is not the first time the former Barcelona player has done this. Under the command of former manager Ignacio Ambriz, the legendary midfielder was dropped for his team’s first three games of the season against Pumas, Leon and Pachuca because he did not complete the pre-season training in a professional manner.

Since Vucetich arrived at Queretaro, Ronaldinho has not been able to improve his dismal form and continues to perform below expectations. He is yet to score a goal this season.

The manager told the press that while bad performances can sometimes be excused, the club are more concerned that Ronaldinho doesn’t show any commitment to the team – and that is why they chose to punish him.

Querétaro lost the game 1-0 and are now in 17th place in the 2015 Apertura with just six points.
