According the the Daily Star, the England ‘keeper said: “We are in a really difficult situation at the moment and it’s not one we are going to try to get ourselves out of, we will get ourselves out of it”

“That’s part of being at Manchester City. We all get talked about. I have been the worst keeper in the world recently and Kompany has been the worst defender in the world.”

“We know who we are and what our objectives are and we aim to win the next nine games. I will never give up [on the title], ever, and I can safely say that nobody in our dressing room will ever give up either. We will see where that takes us.”

City face West Brom at home on Saturday lunchtime, before a trip to Old Trafford next week.
