Arsenal star Mesut Ozil was missing from the squad which travelled up to Newcastle today with many baffled as to what was the reason behind this; the club later confirmed that the German was indeed ill.

Much controversy has surrounded Ozil as many continue scrutinising his performances with his half-time shirt swap with Geoffrey Kondogbia in midweek not helping matters.

But among the fan-base, Ozil is certainly impressing with his performances and has visibly bulked up during his time in north London. The physicality of the league certainly took its toll on the former Real Madrid man, but he’s certainly taken it upon himself to improve in that department.
With an international break forthcoming, Ozil is unlikely to miss any Arsenal games with this ilness.
