Man United target £60m midfield maestro as part of massive summer spending spree

Old Trafford side keen on bringing in five new faces.

Man United are set to once again spend big with the Daily Telegraph claiming that the Old Trafford side are readying a £60m+ bid for former player Paul Pogba.

Louis van Gaal spent over £150m on new signings last summer and will seemingly be conducting a similar level of spending when the season comes to an end.

As well as a move for Juventus star Pogba Man United are in the market for a centre-back, a right-sided midfielder, a right-back and a new striking option.

With regards to the final element of their spree, a striker, it appears that a permanent move for loaned in forward Radamel Falcao is well and truly off the table.

Man United have apparently been encouraged to make a move to re-sign 22 year old French international Pogba, despite the fact he only recently signed a long term contract with his Turin based side.

Moves to bring in big name signings will not however lead to the sale of British record signing Angel di Maria, the £59.7m buy having thus far not impressed since his move to Real Madrid, the Argentine is apparently going to be afforded the time to prove himself at the Premier League side.
