Chelsea were dumped out of the Champions League on away goals to Paris Saint-Germain, but Jose Mourinho claims the defeat has done his team a favour.
The Portuguese reveals that with no involvement in the European competition, the Blues can focus their efforts entirely on firing themselves to Premier League glory.
The 52-year-old said: “Now we can work in a way we couldn’t when we were in all of the cups, with good training sessions, good exercises, preparing the team specifically for a certain game and analysing opponents with more time,” as quoted by the Daily Star.
“I want to focus on that, there are two months to go and in two months we can be champions.”
The Blues sit three points clear of second-place Manchester City, with two games in hand over their rivals, and all eyes are on Mourinho’s men to deliver the trophy back to Stamford Bridge.
