Arsenal’s majority shareholder, Stan Kroenke has unveiled ambitious plans for his other sporting team – a new stadium that bizarrely includes two changing rooms for the home team, and a roof over the venue that can be used as a billboard.

The $1.8bn project will be built for the NFL franchise St Louis Rams, but would require the side to relocate from Missouri, which may prove to be a stumbling block. However, the Arsenal mogul will build the stadium regardless, and should the Rams reject the move, then Kroenke may focus his attention on persuading the Oakland Raiders or San Diego Chargers to move in.
The inspiration for the advertising-friendly roof reportedly came from Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena.
