The Blues were given a major scare by Hull City on Sunday, before eventually scraping through the match as 2-3 victors. They are unbeaten since losing to Bradford City in the FA Cup back in January, but there have been several draws and they even dropped out of the Champions League on away goals against PSG.

Despite this run of shaky form the Portuguese is still happy with his team:

“Now with a six point lead and a game in hand, we are in the best situation we have been in this season. We let the lead go but played fantastic football from the first minute. There is no point analysing the mistakes of the first half. It was no complacency, mistakes happen.”

He continued: “Of course, we were unhappy with the goals conceded but I would rather that than go in at 0-0 having played badly. In the second half, we played well again and deserved to win.”

With Stoke City and QPR the next two games for the Blues, after the international break, it is likely they will continue their title charge.
