Leonardo Jardim’s side enjoyed a fine weekend. They comfortably overcame Stade de Reims 3-1 and also saw one of their rivals at the top of the table, Olympique Lyonnais, drop points with an unexpected home defeat at the hands of OGC Nice.

Their triumph has prompted talk of Champions League qualification and perhaps even a title tilt for the Club of the Principality, however, while Abdennour is keen to encourage discussion of the former, he is vehemently ruling out the latter.

“We are here to do something big this year,” the reported Tottenham Hotspur target began, speaking to L’Equipe, “and why not finish inside the top three”

“But we’re not talking of the title, it’s important for us to keep our feet on the ground.”

Jardim’s outfit are enjoying a strong end to the season and an excellent week. Not only did they defeat Reims, they also overcame Arsenal over two legs to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
