Having beaten Lorient on Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain moved one point clear of Lyon and two ahead of Marseille. Former leaders OL were shocked at home against OGC Nice on Saturday afternoon, while OM closed the gap to second place with a convincing victory over Racing Club de Lens.

Following this weekend’s games, Direct Matin readers believe that PSG will go on to lift the French crown.

40 percent of respondents tipped Laurent Blanc’s PSG to lift the crown, ahead of Lyon, for whom 27 percent of readers forecast a title triumph.

Despite some excellent results under Marcelo Bielsa, and the superb form of the likes of Andre Ayew, Michy Batshuayi and Dimitri Payet, only 14 percent of respondents have identified OM as the favourites for the championship.

Intriguingly, Girondins de Bordeaux (seven percent), AS Monaco (six percent) and AS Saint-Etienne (four percent) accumulated 17 percent of the votes, despite the Bordelais and ASSE being off the pace with only eight games to play.
