Cruel Tweet mocks Liverpool man Divock Origi’s loss of form for Lille

While many hoped that Divock Origi’s hat-trick against Stade Rennais last weekend was to mark a return to form, LOSC Lille’s on-loan Liverpool striker returned to his hapless ways against Saint-Etienne.

Origi’s struggles were mocked by WinamaxSport on their Twitter account @WinamaxSport, when they posted a photo of the Belgian hitman with the quote: “Wait, s***. How do I score again? Yes, that’s it, run with the ball and shoot.”

The youngster’s stock has fallen this season after he has endured a remarkable loss in goalscoring form.

Despite much being expected of him, Origi has managed only six goals this term.

His struggles prompted teammate Florent Balmont to question whether the forward’s impending transfer to Liverpool has led to him taking his eye off the ball (quite literally), while others have asked whether the pressure has got to Origi.

His hat-trick against Stade Rennais looks like being a false dawn, as the international delivered an anonymous showing against Saint-Etienne on Sunday, not managing any shots before being hauled off with over 20 minutes to play.

Brendan Rodgers, watching on from Anfield, will surely be hoping that this is merely a temporary blip and that the talented marksman will come good once again as soon as he switches to the Premier League permanently this summer.
