Jeremy Clarkson looks certain to get the sack by the BBC, with the Top Gear presenter allegedly assaulting a producer. His replacement appears to have already been found, with Radio DJ Chris Evans tipped to take over, according to the Telegraph.

Evans has been a regular guest on Top Gear in the past, and is not only a known TV and radio personality, but a huge car enthusiast as well.

The 48-year-old has an impressive car collection, including a Daytona Spider worth nearly £3m and a Ferrari 250GTO worth around £12m.

It is seen as somewhat of a risk for the BBC to even carry on with Top Gear once Clarkson goes, as – along with James May and Richard Hammond – the veteran broadcaster is synonymous with the show.

It’s unclear what will become of Hammond and May following Clarkson’s exit, and the show may end up being totally reinvented.

Clarkson already has plenty of suitors however, and the 54-year-old has been tipped to make the switch to the US and join American network Netflix.
