Having played for both the Red Devils and Everton in the Premier League, players from both teams feature. There are even a couple of surprising inclusions…

Fellaini said: “[Toughest tackler I’ve played against?] Definitely Phil Jagielka. [Toughest tackler I’ve played with?] I’ll say Phil Jones.

“[Fastest player I’ve played with and against?] I’d definitely say Chris Smalling but I’d also say James Wilson, he’s really fast too. [Fittest player I’ve played with?] Sylvain Distin – he is unbelievable. He is very fit for 37. [Fittest player I’ve played against?] Nemanja Vidic. It was tough to play against him.

“[Best passer I’ve played with?] In this team I’d say Michael Carrick. [Best passer I’ve played against?] Steven Gerrard. [Best finisher I’ve played with and against?] At Everton, Yakubu was a great finisher. Here, it’s Wayne Rooney.”

The Belgian has come in to form recently after finding it hard to make an impact in his first 18 months at Old Trafford. However, new manager Louis van Gaal has got the 27-year-old back to his best, and he has become an important part of the team.

He has scored five goals in 19 appearances this season, a vast improvement on last time round when he failed to net in the whole Premier League campaign.
