Colombia are undoubtedly one of the most entertaining national sides in the world right now, and showed off their considerable muscle with a barnstorming victory over lowly Bahrain on Thursday night.
And there was also good news for Radamel Falcao, who has so often been left on the sidelines at Manchester United this season, as he bagged two stunning goals that will no doubt do his confidence, and his chances of finding more regular football, no harm at all.
The Monaco loanee struck twice in four minutes as the South Americans lit up Bahrain’s national stadium.
His first was a well taken left foot volley as a searching ball reached him over the top of the defence.
And his second, which followed shortly after, proved that he hasn’t lost that killer instinct as his well timed run was capped off with a sublime chip to make it 3-0.
Carlos Bacca, Adrian Ramos, Johan Mojica and Andres Renteria all got on the score sheet as well, and Falcao now only needs one more goal to level Colombia’s record scorer Arnoldo Iguaran with 24 goals for his country.
