The Czech Republic goalkeeper is reportedly set to depart Stamford Bridge in the summer, thus ending a 11-year association with the club, as he searches for regular first team football after finding himself behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order this season.

Cech’s deal with the West London outfit is set to expire next summer and it is believed offers of £10m upwards could be enough to entice Jose Mourinho to let his world-class keeper leave, says the Telegraph, and their North London rivals are rumoured to be at the front of the queue for his signature.

One stumbling block for the Gunners could be Mourinho’s reluctance to allow Cech to join a potential direct title rival in Arsenal, which could in turn open the door for Roma to swoop in.

The Italian side lured Cech’s former Chelsea teammate Ashley Cole to the Stadio Olimpico last summer and will hope the promise of regular action and Champions League football can have the same affect on the 32-year-old.
