The Telegraph also reported earlier this week that Manchester United have been looking at the 21-year-old’s performances this season and that Louis van Gaal’s side could also be contenders to snap him up ahead of next season.
Anderson is a Brazilian Under-21 international yet to win a senior call-up, but remains a highly regarded prospect after stats showing some superb potential in Serie A this term.
Playing in a variety of attacking midfield positions – left, right, and even central – Anderson has notched up an impressive tally of ten goals and six assists for Lazio in all competitions.
Chelsea already have a number of quality options in that part of the pitch with Juan Cuadrado joining the club in January, adding to Eden Hazard and Willian as options out wide.
Still, Mourinho seems keen on Anderson as well, and reports now suggest a £29m bid could be made to the Italian club.
