Brendan Rodgers may be on the lookout for improvements to his current options upfront after a difficult season which threatens to see the Reds fall out of the top four, with Luis Suarez’s exit to Barcelona last year clearly impacting his side’s performances.

With Llorente supposedly having fallen out of favour with his current club, the Metro claims that Liverpool have been put on alert to his potential availability, though it is questionable if the 30-year-old would really add a great deal to Rodgers’ side.

The Spanish international has managed just four goals in Serie A this term, and six goals in total in all competitions. Although he has previously been regarded as a top talent for his performances at previous club Atlhletic Bilbao, Liverpool fans may feel they should be aiming higher in the transfer market.
