The 20-year-old Turkey international played the entire game for his country and will have been disappointed to concede a late equaliser, with Wesley Sneijder scoring a deflected effort.

According to the Metro, Tufan has been the subject of interest from Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United recently, though Brendan Rodgers may have stolen a march by sending scouts out to watch him.

Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor value the centre back at £10 million, but current La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are currently leading the race for his signature according to the Metro. It is said Atleti officials met with the player’s father prior to the Netherlands match to discuss a potential move.

The list of potential suitors doesn’t stop there either, with Serie A giants Juventus keen on the player, with Italian representatives in attendance in Amsterdam as well.
