Barcelona legend launches attack on Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal
‘Players don’t DARE question my tactics’, says Man United boss Louis van Gaal

Despite sitting fourth in the Premier League and on course for Champions League football next season, Red Devils supporters are not fully convinced that he is the man to lead the club forward, after Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure and the brief unsuccessful David Moyes reign.

Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov recently described van Gaal as scum, in an interview with Sport Sunday, yet Burton Albion manager Hasselbaink, who worked under the 63-year-old in the Holland international team set-up, is full of praise for the ‘special’ manager.

The 43-year-old told the Daily Mail, “He is somebody who tells you exactly what he wants, how he wants and when he wants. There are no prisoners.

“But he is a very loving man and a top coach, one of the best in the world.”

The striker also believes that van Gaal is the right man for Man United, and that criticism is part of the job, adding.

“Of course he has come in for criticism because he is manager of one of the biggest clubs in the world, but let’s not forget, Man United is changing. I am 100 per cent he will succeed and they will play attractive football.”
