As we approach the end of the season, OM are right in the mix at the summit of the French top flight.

After 30 matches, they sit on 57 points.

Following their victory over Racing Club de Lens last weekend, they find themselves only one place behind erstwhile leaders Olympique Lyonnais, and two behind table toppers Paris Saint-Germain.

This weekend, Marseille welcome Laurent Blanc’s reigning champions to the Stade Velodrome in a match that could shape the pinnacle of Ligue 1.

Victory for PSG would forge a five-point gap between they and Les Olympiens. Should OM win and Lyon fail to beat En Avant de Guingamp, however, and Marcelo Bielsa’s Marseille would top the table by Sunday evening.

“For me, all the matches starting from the one against Paris will be finals,” said Marseille forward Lucas Ocampos, speaking to Ligue1.com, “and not just for me, but for the whole team, because every team that plays us, Paris or Lyon gives absolutely everything.

“So they’ll be finals. We’ll have to play them as we usually do and show a lot of heart.”

Marseille welcome Paris to the Stade Velodrome at 8.00 pm GMT in the final match of the Ligue 1 weekend.
