It is thought that a bid of around £13.6m could be enough for the Gunners to sign the left-back, who has performed superbly in La Liga this season, looking like one of the best young prospects in Spanish football.

Although Arsenal already have the likes of Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal to choose from in that position, it seems that Arsene Wenger is keen to add Gaya to his list of defensive options this summer, as it looks increasingly like the youngster could be on the move.

Arsenal were also linked with the player back in the January transfer window, but have now been given renewed hope in their bid to bring Gaya to the Emirates Stadium as he seems set to become the latest big name to quit Valencia, following in the footsteps of world stars such as David Villa, Juan Mata, David Silva and Jordi Alba.
