Inter Milan are planning an audacious bid worth around £43.5m for the Manchester City playmaker Yaya Toure, according to the Daily Mirror.
If the Ivorian was to end his time at the Etihad and move to Serie A, he would be reunited with his former boss, Roberto Mancini, who took over at San Siro in November.
The Mirror has suggested that the 50-year-old would be keen to make his move for Toure, if contract negotiations stall again with the Premier League champions.
The 31-year-old is not the only member of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad that is being scouted by the side currently languishing in mid-table in the Italian top flight.
According to the Daily Star, James Milner could be on his way to the club, as it appears more and more likely that the England international will leave Eastlands in the summer, though Premier League rivals Liverpool are also interested.
And the Daily Mail hinted that wantaway striker, Stevan Jovetic may be joining Inter on loan.
