Chelsea will try their luck with a £22m bid to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke this summer in a bid to build a squad capable of winning the Champions League next season.

The Blues are big admirers of the young Spanish international, who has been a hugely influential performer for Atletico again this season, having also starred in their title-winning campaign last year and their surprise run to the Champions League final.
Koke has an impressive record of four goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season, showing that he could be an upgrade on Cesc Fabregas, whose form has really dipped in the second half of the season.
It may well be that the 23-year-old is being targeted with the view to replacing his fellow countryman in the long run, with the Daily Express reporting that a big-money bid is expected to come in from the Blues this summer.
