The 29-year-old has been in and out of the team at the Etihad this season, and the arrival of Wilfried Bony in January has further lessened his chances of first team football. This is in the midst of a poor season for the Citizens, who look set to finish the campaign without a single trophy.

His national team squadmate said: “We are friends and he has told me that he would love to play in Serie A. He is closely following Roma. It would be great if we could one day play together both for the national team and here in Roma.”

The striker actually signed a new four year contract with Man City last summer, but could still leave at the end of the season. According to the report the Dzeko was signed for £27 million back in 2011, and it is unlikely they will get anything like that amount of money for him now.
