Sunderland lead Newcastle 1-0 in the Tyne-Wear derby following a sensational strike by Jermaine Defoe as he scored a peach of a volley, which flew into the top corner, on his weaker left-foot.
Signed in January for a large fee, Defoe was tasked with providing the goals which will keep Sunderland up and he is certainly on his way to doing exactly that with an unbelievable strike – on this weekend of sensational efforts.

Krul congratulates Defoe on his goal. Wow.

If you go after Krul for congratulating Defoe in the tunnel at half time you don’t understand anything about pro sports and sportsmanship.

Honest to god hopeless. Krul’s attitude to Defoe in the tunnel sums up our team’s attitude to derbies last few years.
