The Frenchman has been the subject of interest from Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Chelsea according to the Daily Express, but this news could mean that the Ligue 1 champions have taken pole position in the chase for his signature.

Al Khelaifi said: “If it were true I would not tell you, and if it were not true I would also do the same.”

Although he is currently out for seven weeks with a hamstring problem, the youngster has been having another successful season with the Old Lady of Italian football.

He has scored seven goals and created another two in 22 Serie A appearances, form which has further improved his already burgeoning reputation.

The Red Devils may well curse the loss of Pogba, who left for Turin in 2011.
