Juan Arango, Club Tijuana’s Venezuelan striker, has sensationally only been banned for two matches by the Mexican Disciplinary Commission after brutally biting Monterrey’s Jesus Zavala last weekend.

At the end of the game between Tijuana and Monterrey, the South American bit Zavala on the shoulder for no reason. The game ended 4-3 to Monterrey after one of the most exciting games of the weekend.

After the match, the player from Monterrey shared an Instagram picture of the bite marks still clearly visible on his shoulder.

Tijuana’s player apolgised admitted his action was a mistake which he did in the heat of the moment.

Arango will now not be able to participate in his side’s matches against Queretaro and Chivas.
