Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard posted a celebratory picture to Instagram after the Reds beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in their FA Cup quarter final replay.

The Merseyside club were taken to a replay by their Championship opponents after drawing 0-0 at Anfield last month, but were more successful here. Gerrard wasn’t playing in the victory as he is still banned after stamping on Manchester United’s Ander Herrera two weeks ago.
However, the win will have still been celebrated by the club hero as the final could potentially be played on his birthday. It is also his final season with Liverpool after agreeing to move to LA Galaxy once the campaign finishes.
He has Philippe Coutinho to thank for the winning goal, who scored with just over twenty minutes left. Rovers were unable to put any real pressure on the Reds afterwards.
