The 22 year old forward is considered a hot prospect but is struggling to secure meaningful game time and as such a loan move away from the Bernabeu may well benefit all parties.

Carlo Ancelotti hasn’t handed the Spanish Under 21 international a single La Liga start, which is perhaps unsurprising when you consider Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Javier Hernandez are all ahead of the youth team graduate in the Real Madrid pecking order.

Jese Rodriguez may have hoped the departure of Alvaro Morata to Juventus last summer would aid his push to make a real impact at Real Madrid but this hasn’t proven the case.

West Ham have sat in the top half of the Premier League table pretty much all season and may well feel they have the pulling power to tempt Jese to east London.
