The Chilean international has shone since making the summer move to the Emirates Stadium, building on an impressive final season at the Nou Camp, where he was unfortunate not to be given more of a chance to make a name for himself.

Sanchez first caught the eye in Serie A with Udinese, and one player still with the Serie A side, Antonio Di Natale has been quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying that he was the best partner he played with throughout his career.

This is some compliment indeed, considering the Italian striker also played with greats of the game such as Alessandro Del Piero and Francesco Totti.

“If I had to choose one, I’d choose Alexis [over Neymar] because he’s a little more concrete,” the 37-year-old said.

“I know what you are going to ask. And the answer is: Yes he’s the best partner I had in my life.

“I’ve played with a lot of champions, but he is the best; and he’s proven it by performing for enormous clubs such as Barcelona and Arsenal.”

Sanchez spent three seasons in Serie A with Udinese, scoring 21 goals after being snapped up from Argentine club River Plate.
