Former Leicester City defender Sean St Ledger, who now plays for Orlando City in the MLS, hasn’t achieved much in his sporting career.
Ok, he has won 37 senior caps for the Republic of Ireland – despite being born in Solihull – and in 2008 he was named Preston North End Player of The Year. Still, in the big bad world of the Beautiful Game, he’s a relative nobody.
However, 30-year-old St Ledger is making a splash as a celebrity right now, as rumours are starting to spread suggesting that he may be in some sort of romantic relationship with 25-year-old pop superstar Taylor Swift.
We are not saying that St Ledger is ugly, but let’s just say the Brummie boy is at least a couple of promotions away from being in the same league as Taylor, who is among the hottest women ever.
Nevertheless, rumours persist that there is something between the pair, seemingly just because there were pictured together back on New Year’s Eve.
St Ledger was questioned about Taylor during a recent interview with Irish TV station RTE.
At the end of the interview, the presenter said: “Don’t forget to tell Taylor Swift that we said ‘hi’.”
St Ledger responded by laughing, instead of denying that anything is going on. Surely it can’t be…
