The Gunners have also been in contention to sign the 21-year-old, who has had a superb season in Serie A and drawn comparisons with Manchester City star Sergio Aguero.

Still, it may be that he will seal a deal to stay in Italy as Juventus also chase his signing for the summer, with the reigning champions hoping to keep strengthening in attack to continue their recent domestic dominance and also improve their fortunes in the Champions League.

As Dybala’s propsed move to Turin edges closer, the Metro reports that Arsenal are in a race against time to throw their hat into the ring and emerge as serious contenders to beat Juve to this exciting signing, who looks a player capable of becoming one of the best in the world.
